In the midst of the Los Angeles Lakers interest in trading for the Utah Jazz's veterans Jordan Clarkson put out a tweet that had lakers fans speculating, that he wanted to return to the team.
The Utah Jazz are taking a new direction after trading Donovan Mitchell and some of these veteran guys could be on the way out of Utah and joining new teams and with the lakers looking to upgrade their roster adding players like Jordan Clarkson, Bojan bogdanovic and Mike Conley could help out their team as they look to get back in a position, where they can compete once again i mean Jordan Clarkson was a guy who was a sixth man of the year, who has put up really good numbers.
When it comes to his scoring the efficiency hasn't been great but in his sixth man of the year season, his efficiency was good and i think that overall he could definitely help out the lakers in this upcoming season, with his bench scoring and also when you look at the Indiana Pacers trade there's something that could be holding it up for the lakers, so when you talk about miles turner he's going to be a free agent in 2023, and he could be interested in joining the lakers, which is a reason why the lakers might have been reluctant to include that second first-round pick to pull off a trade for myles turner Buddy Hield.
So that's just something to note as the Los Angeles Lakers explore their trade options and i think that with the Utah Jazz ultimately we will definitely see Bojan Bogdanovic, Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson all get traded they just don't really fit with the direction, Utah is taking now that both rudy Robert and Donovan Mitchell are gone and a trade like this could help out the lakers, i know that there have been people talking about how those two picks might be too much for the lakers to give up.
but they are getting a lot of additional depth there has been quite a bit of talk about Mike Conley and how he isn't on the best contract, but you do have to note that his contract is only partially guaranteed for the 2023-24 season, and he can bring some floor spacing, but he is coming off a bit of a shaky playoff run.
So when you look at giving up two future first round picks and mike conley being one of the main players included that might be something that the lakers have to consider and say well do we want to give up two future first round picks for these guy, do we think that adding these players can take us to the next level as a team and overall even, if Mike Conley doesn't play at a really high level if he can just space the floor consistently for the lakers.
They could really use that shooting Clarkson could bring more shooting, also bogdanovic could as well but in the midst of all this there might be something in the back of the lakers mind, about trying to add Kyrie Irving in 2023 free agency.
