The los angeles lakers and what things are looking like when it comes to potential trades this off season,
So the lakers have been so far pretty reluctant when it comes to adding multiple first-round picks, but it was reported yesterday that they were willing to include two first-round picks in a potential Kyrie irving trade, but aside from that this off season, the lakers have been kind of waiting and seeing how things go because this is a very long off season.
These past couple off seasons have been a bit shorter due to the fact that the nba did shut down for a while, so the schedule was a bit more condensed but now we're back to normal with the schedule so the lakers have to consider that as well that they have more time to work with, and other teams have more time to work with as well so it might just take some time and it looks like the lakers might even have a bit of hesitancy when it comes to potentially trading for kyrie irving,
But that might not matter as the lakers also seemingly have some other options based on reports but the lakers are still keeping the door open for a westbrook return with some reports in the media which allows them to keep some leverage in trade talks, when you look at this the lakers do have some options outside of kyrie irving buddy hield and myles turner based on this report, which is good because you look at the utah jazz, you look at the new york knicks those are two teams that have been mentioned a little bit,
Maybe there's some other teams out there that the lakers could also look to trade with as this off season continues on but myles turner and buddy hield along with kyrie irving, I feel like are the lakers best trade option so if the lakers could add in turner and hield, I think that'd be great for the roster and adding in a third star and kyrie,
I think could really help out the team as well but also when you look to teams like utah if you could get bowie on bogdanovic maybe also get mike conley and maybe one other player you look at a guy like rudy gay or malik beasley or patrick beverly, I feel like that could be a solid trade option for the lakers as well but i don't think the lakers should look at a trade with the knicks, because i don't think bringing in a guy like julius randle, who has a lot of money on his contract long term,
And also is coming off of a down year is exactly the best idea but maybe there's also other trade suitors out there for russell westbrook, that we don't really know about it just seems like the lakers might have more options, than we think based on this report and I think that when you look at russell westbrook, if a team could get multiple first-round picks or even just one first-round pick along with westbrook's expiring money taking on that much expiring money could open up cap space for teams, and allow them to get off some long-term contracts on their roster, so that might open up some more options for Lakers.
