After the Donovan Mitchell trade it looks like the Utah Jazz aren't done making moves, they could end up trading Bojan bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson and Mike Conley.
This is a perfect opportunity for the Los Angeles Lakers to swoop in and try to improve their roster as training camp, quickly approaches, the Utah Jazz have 17 players on guaranteed contracts for the upcoming season, and you're only allowed to have 15 players on guaranteed contracts, so with that the lakers actually serve as a perfect destination for the Utah Jazz's veterans, if they want to have 15 guys on their roster and also add some additional draft picks, because prior to this trade it was reported that Danny Ainge covets the Los Angeles Lakers 2027 and 2029 picks.
So what if he could get those while also helping the Los Angeles Lakers improve their team and become a championship contender because if the lakers were to add Mike Conley, Bojan bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson that could immediately help their roster out a ton, you're adding in a lot of veteran depth and guys who will be able to help la space the floor, the jazz get those draft picks that Danny Ainge reportedly covets and then you go ahead and you move on, and hopefully the lakers could be a contender with that type of move, but maybe the lakers trade Kendrick Nunn, the reason i say that is for financial reasons, i mean you look at the fact that in the last trade scenario.
The lakers would be taking on a lot more salary than they're going ahead and sending out, which means that they would have to pay more in the luxury tax and this would help them a bit with that, so maybe that's a consideration for Lakers, and they would be willing to trade Kendrick Nunn to help them, when it comes to the salary cap now you have to keep in mind that the lakers are out there looking to make moves, it seems like they've been talking to quite a few teams about trades, and that makes sense, i mean we have seen the Cleveland cavaliers with one move emerge as one of the best teams in the league.
In my opinion they have such a great roster they have such a great young core and now with a league, so filled with talent you have to continue to upgrade your roster to stay relevant and compete and that's what the lakers need to do this off-season, in my opinion to have a chance, if they want to maximize what's left of LeBron James's prime that has already been, so long an unprecedented amount of time,
