The Los Angeles Lakers are interested in trading for Donovan Mitchel, Is a 25-year-old three-time all-star, who's averaging about 24 points per game for his career, how would the lakers pull off a move like this, especially with all these other teams interested.
What we're going to talk about in this article, although without trading Anthony Davis, I feel like this is a very unrealistic type of move for the lakers, but I guess they're just trying to go out there and exercise all their options, when it comes to a potential trade that they could make so outside of the lakers.
The nets, cavs hornets and wizards have interest in Donovan Mitchell and of course the New York Knicks have also had interested, they're trying to make a move happen to get Donovan Mitchell in New York on their roster for this upcoming season.
Patrick Beverley would be joining the Dallas Mavericks, I just wanted to include that really quickly, the lakers would be adding Donovan Mitchell, Terrence Ross, Davis Bertans and Garrett Temple, they would be trading away Russell Westbrook, austin Rivers, max christie and Talen Horton tucker along with a ton of future second round picks and two future first round picks and it wouldn't let me include it using this trade machine but the lakers could trade their 2028 pick swap as a part of this trade as well, so the Utah Jazz would be getting a 2027 unprotected first-round pick from the lakers a 2029 unprotected first-round pick, From the lakers a 2028 pick swap from the lakers and then in this scenario the lakers get other teams involved by having the Orlando magic include a 2023 first-round pick from Chicago.
Also the Dallas Mavericks includes some future second round picks and the New Orleans Pelicans include a 2023 first-round pick, with a top five protection, and they would be adding Kendrick Nunn in this scenario, the magic would be adding Talen Horton tucker and the lakers would be trading away some future second round picks to both of those teams, as they are both included future first round picks, and I included those second round picks in this scenario, to make it a little bit more reasonable for those teams to include those first round picks.
So let me know what you think is this type of move something that would be reasonable for the lakers, that trade scenario was really the best possible scenario, that i could come up with if the lakers weren't going to trade Anthony Davis, which isn't something that I really think they're looking to do if they can go out there and make a move for a player like Donovan Mitchell that would be so big for their team.
But i just don't see how they can make it happen, especially with all the other teams out there that are interested but in this trade scenario, I just talked about the best possible way that the lakers, could make it happen, if they really wanted to go out there and do it i feel like this scenario was a way, where they exercise all their options trying to add Mitchell to the roster.
