Tony jones who is a Utah Jazz reporter for the athletic was asked about the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers trade talks, and he said there have been talks but nothing imminent and also a Utah Jazz page posted something, that i thought was very interesting now it's important to note, that in the past they have gotten things right and seemingly had some early information.
So take this for what you will this isn't a verified source but it is something to note, that they reported the jazz and lakers are progressing towards a deal that will send Russell Westbrook and draft compensation to Utah and that there's still work to be done but growing belief is that this is trending towards a deal, Danny wants more picks and, some potential lakers and Utah Jazz trades.
So this first one involves Bojan bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson Malik Beasley and jarred Vanderbilt going to the lakers and Russell Westbrook Kendrick Nunn and two future first round picks going to the Utah Jazz, i really like this trade if I'm the Los Angeles Lakers you get so much depth you get two younger guys in jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley you get guys who can score a ton of scoring in this trade with William, bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Malik Beasley this is a great trade if your lakers, and if i'm Utah getting those future picks would be very valuable because you look at the fact that those picks are so far down the line, who knows what the Los Angeles Lakers will be doing in 2027 and 2029,
So those picks could be very valuable and maybe that is something that's appealing to Utah but maybe they want to trade some other players as a part of different trades so that they can add even more draft capital now we're going to look at another trade scenario that doesn't help out the lakers as much but is still beneficial they add Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson and Malik Beasley, it's also important to note that players from the Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves trade like Malik Beasley and jarred Vanderbilt are eligible to be traded as a part of multiplayer deals starting today.
So essentially what that means is they're allowed to be traded along with other players starting today and that could help things get moving for the Los Angeles Lakers if they are in talks and trying to make a trade with the Utah Jazz, i think that making a move where you add additional depth should be what the lakers are looking to do whether that's with the jazz the pacers or another team that type of move could be something that could help the lakers as they try to get back to championship contention.
