Trade scenario where Rudy Gay patrick Beverley myles turner and buddy hield all join, the lakers that joins the jazz and Russell Westbrook joins the pacers and the Indiana Pacers get two future first-round picks.
So when you look at this trade scenario, I want to specifically talk about the backcourt and depth aspect of this trade, you look at myles turner a guy who is an elite shot blocker a solid inside scorer a guy who can step out and shoot the three you look at buddy hield a guy who's an elite floor spacer one of the best shooters in the league, patrick Beverley who is a tenacious defender and Rudy Gay who although he's a bit older should be able to still provide some solid rotational minutes for the lakers.
I really like the depth, that the lakers would get out of this trade, then you look at the backcourt patrick Beverley and buddy hield, I feel like this pairing in the backcourt is really good and plus you have Kendrick Nunn and austin Rivers two other really solid guards, who can help out in the rotation, as well but Beverley being a tenacious defender and buddy hield being a floor spacer who can't bring as much on the defensive side, I think would be a good fit but, when you talk about patrick Beverly and buddy hield like I said that pairing in the backcourt is really good you've got the additional depth with Kendrick Nunn and austin Rivers, I just think that would really set up the lakers when it comes to their depth in the backcourt.
Then you look at the front court, the lakers would have Thomas Bryant, Damian jones, myles turner and Anthony Davis you'd have plenty of bigs you could go to, then also they would have a solid amount of wings, you'd have Rudy Gay you'd also have Stanley Johnson, Wenyen Gabriel you'd have some guys who could play minutes there of course LeBron James on the wing as well.
So you'd have a solid amount of depth at each position guys, who I think could really play some important rotational minutes for the lakers, offensively this lineup would allow the lakers to have a lot more flexibility with their lineups, I mean imagine running a lineup with Kendrick not at the one buddy hield at the two lebron at the three anthony davis, at the four myles turner at the five who is going to be able to guard.
That type of lineup that could be a really good lineup for the lakers, defensively if you had let's say patrick Beverley, austin Rivers, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Myles turner, I mean the lakers would really have a ton of possibilities in this trade scenario, I like it because they're able to add additional depth onto the roster, which I think is something that they need going into this upcoming season.
